Hey,

Just got a new system?.well not really ?new?, but I totally overhauled the CPU\MOBO\RAM, so I consider it new. Here are the specs:

EpoX 8KHA+ (rev 2.0, Oct 17th BIOS)
Athlon XP 1700 (w\retail HSF)
Enermax 350 Watt PS
512 2100 DDR RAM (Crucial)
IBM Deskstar 30 GB 75GXP (so far so good?)
Plextor 32\12\10A
SoundBlaster Live MP3+ (has worked flawlessly under WIN98\2K\XP ? in spite of my
VIA chipset history)
ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon
Samsung SyncMaster 950b
Win 98SE\Win XP Pro

The EpoX board has been working out nicely for me ? I was a little worried, with all the reboot problems I have been hearing about on various sites.

All in all, I?m very proud of the system. I know none of the parts are top-of-the-line, but I think they are all some high-quality parts and I put a lot of thought into the system in terms of making sure it would work smoothly ( i.e. didn?t skimp on RAM quality, made sure to haunt AMD?s recommended PS page, etc.)

Looking forward to playing around with some VCDs and DivX?s and stuff once I finish up my exams (or head up to the nearest clock tower ? whichever comes first) My old Celeron 600 system wasn?t overly suitable for that stuff.

Anyway, any comments\suggestions (particuarly regarding anyone?s experience with the All-in Wonder and XP) are welcome.

great system. Isn't the Epox board great. I was doubtful at first because I wasn't too well informed about their past as a company, but regardless ,this IS one of their greatest.

Have fun.
