New system build

I wanted some input on a new system. I have only built a couple of real basic systems and its been a while (like 3 years ago). I want to spend around $600.00. I'm a light gamer but I also want this to be a family machine as well. I would like to go with a dual core AMD processor and want wireless ability for my printer. I also want to upgrade to Vista. Should I go for 64 bit or what. I have not kept up on all the new hardware technology and am obviously still a newb at this but any input will defineately be considered.
