New system advise

Been 3 years since I've kept up with any hardware (since I built my last system) and my OC'ing experience is limited.

However, it appears as if this might be a good time to upgrade to a new system. After some research this week, I've put together a tentative i7 920 system I'm hoping I can atleast get a 3.6-3.8 overclock out of. If someone could just take a quick look and tell reassure me I haven't forgotten anything, I would appreciate it. :D

CPU - Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz
MB - EVGA LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX
Memory - OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory
GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 285 SC Edition
CPU Cooler - Vigor Monsoon III
PSU - Tuniq Ripper 1000W
HD - WD Caviar Black 1TB
Case - NZXT Tempest

G.Skill 3x2GB DDR3-1333 $120

No need for DDR3-1600 memory - DDR3-1333 can handle up to BCLK 222 (6x multi) which gives you up to a 4.44GHz CPU speed with an i7 920 (20x222).

What GPU(s) are you using? If a single card, that PSU is complete overkill. Go for this Corsair 650TX for $80 after $20MIR. That's actually strong enough for most two-card CF/SLI setups (linkage). (And note - the test system in that benchmarking is an i7 940 overclocked to 3.7GHz.)

Agreed, I've read that the 1600 has some difficulties posting with proper voltages.

The OCZ DDR3-1600 memory I chose 1) because it gave me money back on a combo with the processor at Newegg and 2) because from the i7 overclocking guides I'd been reading recommended giving some leeway .

I chose the PSU because it was $160 with a $80 rebate. And I may want to try SLI at some point and I figured more power couldn't hurt.

I really wanted the TRUE, but I was trying to save a few bucks using the Vigor cooler. I'm not familiar with the other 2 coolers. I'll check them out. Thanks.
