This is what I intend ordering and would love any advice or opinions before departing with my heavily sweated cash :)

The system is to be used for general purpose and the only intensive application I`m into is gaming.

Athlon64 939 3500
Asus SLI
CA-3400BWA Thermaltake Tsuinami BLACK 400WPSU
Geforce 6600GT PCI express (not yet sure of make probably EVGA or Albatron)
X32PB1GC2SuperTalent PC3200 1G DDR400 64MX8 DDR CL3 Memory (2x512)
DVDRW 16X +/- Samsung 8.5GB Black MM DVDRW TS-H552A BL (or Sony DWD22)
SAMSUNG 3.5" 1.44MB FLOPPY DRIVE BLACK

Are there any conflicts or non-sense in the above? My budget is stretched, but is there anything which could be improved upon without costing too much?

Thanks!

1. i have never heard of that ram, care to say what the brand is?
2. are you really going to use SLI? that mobo is at least $200, if you're on a budget and want nforce4, chaintech ultras are out
3. get a NEC-3500 or 3520 for the DVD-RW

otherwise, pretty good

Thanks

I`m not from the US and new hardware takes a good while to get available here. That`s the reason why I got fed up waiting and settled for the only nforce4 board I have available which unfortunately is the SLI one.

The brand of the memory is Super Talent. Probably mainstream its pretty unknown, but I used it before and had no probs with it. My other alternative is Kingston.

I also dont intend overclocking, so I guess that i can settle for cl3 memory and not bother with cl2.5

Care to state which country you are from, I know several European sites that will ship internationaly (and they are able to obtain all parts which the US can)

Sure, I am from Malta, which is an island in the Mediterranean.

The only european site which has decent prices that I know about is www.overcolockers.co.uk However I am a bit reluctant to order that way because I`d have to face pretty steep postage charges and a couple of weeks waiting time if some part is faulty or goes bust during the warranty period.

I am a bit concerned about the PSU and Asus SLI mobo. From what I read, the mobo uses a 24 pin connector and although I went through the Thermaltake site I couldnt figure if the 400W True Silent Power PSU in that case has one of these connecotrs or one of the older ones. Doe anyone have a clue about this? And if it does have one of the older ones, is it as simple as buying a convertor cable or will I be into some trouble?
