New Synology NAS, can I start over?

Received my DS214play a few days ago, went through the initialization procedure running Synology Assistant. It said I had to initiate port forwarding with my choices if I want internet access. The Anandtech review of this device says that's only necessary if you don't use the default QuickConnect feature. Somehow I screwed that up, I'd prefer to do it that way. So, I'm wondering if I can return to ground zero and start over. Possible?

Also, I'm wondering if there's a separate firmware to update or is that incorporated in DSM 5?

The only thing I installed is Media Server, nothing else, no data on it yet.
