Due to the popularity of the Survivor shows, Texas is planning to do its own, entitled Survivor, Texas Style. The contestants will start in Dallas, travel to Waco, Austin, San Antonio, over to Houston, and down to Brownsville. They will then proceed up to Del Rio, onto El Paso, then to Midland, Odessa, Lubbock, and Amarillo. From there, they'll proceed to Abilene, Ft. Worth and finally back to Dallas.
Each will be driving a pink Volvo with a bumper sticker that reads, "I'm gay, I'm a vegetarian, I voted for Al Gore, and I'm here to confiscate your guns!"

The first one to make it back to Dallas alive wins!

I think that the bumper sticker "Pickup trucks are for pu$$ies!" would yield much more enjoyment :D

LOL. I go to Midland/Odessa every October for the CAF airsho. Well, it was the CAF. Its the only place I've been in Texas and I enjoy it very much. My brother in law goes pig hunting twice a year but I can't remember where at down there.

i'll bet if they somehow make it through all the cities before, Fort Worth folks will make sure they don't win.

haha, good one. I used to live all over texas. Father just moved to dallas but I'd never go back anywhere in that state-too dry and humid.

Me and my buddies in a lifted Excursion with flowmasters will be waiting outside of Eastland, TX on I-20 with grenade launchers. :| :D

You're not serious, are you? I live in Stephenville (school) and Midland is home for me. All these cities are second nature to me!

NO WAY! I try to go nearly every year too. Wow. Small world. Midland is home for me (7 years), but I go to a University just south of Ft. Worth. Aren't the TORA! TORA! TORA! bombing reinactions cool? I'm going to try to make it to the one this year as well. Were you at the one the year before last when it was like, 20 degrees? Totally bizarre from the usual annual 90 degrees, old-people-carted-out-with-heat-exhaustion years.

Cool! I actually like Corpus, but that's coming from someone that only visits his grandparents ( :( ) once every couple years down there. I like the bay area and downtown... really pretty at night. At least you don't live in West Texas (although you'd love it after a few years). ;) My Mom was raised up in Corpus- met my Dad there. They went to Carroll.

Tex, you're a 7th generation Texan? I know I'm at least 5th, but I don't know for sure beyond that, in some directions on my family tree....
