New subforum

I thought I'd suggest a sub-forum that I haven't seen suggested yet.

There are many topics than can be streamed into one forum if we had an art forum. Photography, 2D and 3D creation, photo editing, etc. Perfect place to discuss tutorials, camera choices, software help, critiques, contests, and more.

While I was a member of the MXO community, I suggested to the forum administrators the same thing, something I don't think I've seen on any other game forum. In that case I was a more well-known community member than here, but I also had a strong case. There are many threads started every week that could fit into this type of forum, for a lot of different forums on the internet, especially this one.

In fact, I believe you would see more traffic due to the addition of this forum. I believe that many people here who are already interested in this aren't posting nearly as much as they would if they had the right forum category to post into.

I understand that adding a new forum generally doesn't happen(read: never), but the truth is there really isn't a category that comes close to this. Thank you for your time.

The answer is no. Now go to your room!

Though probable, I'd rather hear your thoughts on it rather than your predictions.

But, why waste your time?

My mom told me if I put my mind to it, I could do anything.

Well, my initial though was why did he make the comment about MXO? Is he trying to stroke his ego or make us believe that his opinion is valued so much that we should just take his word for it?

My thought about a new forum is that it is not needed. What you propose is what OT is supposed to be for. Unfortunately, OT has gone so far downhill that it will never recover.

The reason I brought up the MXO forum was as an example of how well it fits in. If anyone had been there, they would have known how much the community was for it and just how useful it was. I pointed out that I was a more well-known member there than here, so it certainly has nothing to do with trying to put value on my opinion, I'm still just another member here.

OT is not designed for anything tech related, that's why it's OT. This is something that can have it's own category and get much use out of it. If P&N can have a seperate category(despite obviously being OT) then I don't see why we can't have another tech-related category that currently is not available.

That's not the least bit true.

What you are saying doesn't even make any sense, you just want to argue the point. Off Topic is just that, off topic. What is the topic that we are no longer on? Tech. Anything tech-related belongs in a category in the forum.

This is a computer forum. It makes sense to me to have a digital photography forum, since it is more closely related than any of the silly examples you cited.

Olds, why don't you just come out and admit that you're the mod holding it back?
