Pretty good trailer!
However, before I become too involved in another Stargate SyFy is going to have to fix the problem with the ending of Atlantis. The worst ending possible and I am guessing there will be no movie to complete the series.-- hahahahaaaa I Loved the ending.....
FYI the Stargate Atlantis movie was supposed to have already been aired. Instead they have just commissioned a script. And the only people SyFy have asked to be in the movie are Amanda Tapping and Chris Heyerdahl, who just happen to be still employed by SyFy.
The actor who plays Sheppard says he can't get SyFy to even return a call, and he doesn't know if they are really making a movie.
This would indicate to me that there is no real interest in completing the series with a movie. If they really wanted to make a movie they would have at least optioned some of the series regulars.
To leave Atlantis the way SyFy did, was just a slap in the face to people who have watched over 15 seasons of Stargate. They rushed thru the last few episodes, and the producers say they begged SyFy to let them make the finale a two parter and SyFy said no.
SyFy blames MGM and MGM blames SyFy. SyFy said that MGM wanted to make movies. Yet, no movie. And now SGU will air at least a year before an Atlantis movie, if ever.
And basically Stargate Command went to the Pegasus galaxy to scavenge Ancient technology. And what they did was:
Awaken the Wraith
Create Michael who killed countless humans and enslaved a whole lot of them.
Reprogrammed the Replicators who went on a human killing spree.
Helped the Hoffans create a drug that Michael used to kill many humans.
Blew up a solar system cause they thought they were smarter than the Ancients.
Turned on the Ancient device that turned Stargates into death traps.
Wiped out the first human settlement of the Travelers and destroyed their Ancient warship.
And then after all this they ran back to the Milky Way galaxy.
I'm guessing the idea of a border fence is looking pretty good to the Pegasus galaxy about now.
Stargate Atlantis failed with the Wraith as villans. they were a terrible idea. However, they came across a great idea I think in a villan, with the introduction of a subsect of the Asgard in the Pegusus Galaxy why not use them as a bad guy in other galaxies?
Though my favorite idea is Asgoa'ulds. Goa'ulds in Asgard bodies.
Instead of creating new enemies and new alliances, why can't we revisit established
societies and build on them? Answer some questions that were left?
