OK, i'm officially excited. Was 12 when the first ones came out and I was a star wars bitch. Then lucas made 1 2 and 3 and I stopped loving star wars and even started hating it. But this, this is what a star wars movie is supposed to be!

unless he has "awakened"!!! 😱

He's over 300 years old by SWTOR and doesn't have a typical human life span. He was basically made immortal by the Emperor.

I think they could have used a far more succinct trailer: a five second pan-in to a tombstone that reads, "Here-sa lies Jar-Jar Binks"

:awe:

I think I've just lost all interest in Star Wars over the years, so the trailer didn't exactly get me excited, since it was pretty much "Look at all these things you know!" *nudge* *nudge*

So: A new scene of the same guy taking off his helmet and panting without saying anything. Are there going to be more?

Looks good.

Shouldn't Chewie have more grey now? What's a wookie's lifespan?

From star wars wiki:

From the age of 18, the Wookiees were viewed as full-fledged adults,[13] and were considered in their prime around the age of 200.[7] Throughout this lengthy period, Wookiees were expected to embrace a career and find a regular source of income so they could marry and found a family of their own.[14] Subsequently, Wookiees were qualified as "middle-aged" by 301–350, "old" by 351–399 and "venerable" at 400.[13] Elderly Wookiees were normally cared for and admired for their accumulated wisdom.

Finally got a chance to check it out at home...just noticed there's an xwing wreckage in the foreground of the first shot

Darth Revan?

Its Kylo Ren. Darth Revan is not cannon. They might be paying homage to Darth Reven, which is what they said they'd do when the invalidated all stories not connected to Lucas. Kylo Ren will be the baddie in the first film, but in my opinion he's just a pawn for a real dark lord. If you remember the story about Darth Plaugies the Wise in Episode III, I have a feeling he's going to be making his return in Episode 8 or 9. The first teaser had that voice played by Andy Serkis, I think thats the big bad over the whole trilogy. Makes sense that its Palpatines Master since it follows the original storyline.

The silver trooper is Gwendoline Christie from Game of Thrones (Brienne of Tarth). Her name in the film will be Captain Phasma.
