New SSD from USA

Hi guys,
My old man is right now in the US so this is my chance to buy an SDD at decent prices, i think 250 gb is more than enough and i have a budget of 100 bucks. So far ive found the following SSDs:
Samsung eVO https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-850-EVO-2-5-Inch-MZ-75E250B/dp/B00OAJ412U/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1472582535&sr=1-1&keywords=ssd
And a kingston with more capacity which costs a bit more : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820242259
Which one would you recommend? im not space constricted but the idea is to have something that lasts for a very long time.

Id can also go for more RAM, i currently have 8 gigs, but i could add 8 more, the problem is my CPU Cooler is blocking the 2 free slots , in that case i would have to go for low height Ram or just remove the ones i have now and put 2x8 gigs instead, what do you think?

I Look forward to hearing from you

It is impossible to say which one will last 'a very long time'. There is just no way of getting around the fact that no matter which one you pick, it will fail at some point (and a lot of times without any notice at all), and you will always need to make backups.

Usually, it is best to go with 2 slots, and the highest capacity you can get, but, you can use all the slots you have, check the motherboard's QVL list to see what they say for the DIMMs.

I don't know from which country you are but components sold in the US are sold in rest of the world as well, do you live in country where you can't obtain same SSD? Because you certainly want one brought from the states to you.

Of the two, I'd take the 850 EVO.

That said, I agree with Sheep221. You should probably buy something locally - if there's a problem, it makes the returns or RMA process a lot simpler.

OP: Don't bother getting more ram if the upgrade is either/or. You have plenty of fast ram (unless your primary use case is Photoshop or something). If you can swing it, Newegg currently has 3 480gb drives that cost 119.99, I'd either get the smaller EVO or any of those 3. No one can predict how long the drive will last but a bigger drive will last longer than a smaller one using the same kind of NAND given the same amount of writes to it.
