My family just moved to a new house and my old stereo system (Nakamichi AV1 Reciever, Celestion speakers) just doesn't fit in my room at all. I need a good set of computer speakers and was considering the Logitech z560's. The only question I really have is I have a Aureal Vortex which can support front and rear speakers, and I'm wondering if the bass from the logitechs is overpowering?

Thanks!

It can be overpowering if you want :D

but if you turn the bass knob all the way down, it's at a nice level :)

Thanks! Any other opinions? I think I'm going to just buy the damn speakers and hope for the best.

The Logitech Z560's are the best computer speakers for the price right now. It's a very sweet 4.1 speaker system and I think it will be a good choice for you. Best of luck.

They're a great set of speakers, and they've worked very well for me. I would say go with it.

the bass level is nice after i turned the knob all the way down and i turned down the bass in winamp's eq. for dvd's and games, the extra punch from the subwoofer is welcomed.

I would seriously consider a new soundcard. An OEM Soundblaster 5.1 runs for 30 bucks, which would sound seriouly better than the Aureal Vortex.

Yea, I will upgrade my sound card, but not to a Soundblaster. As far as I'm concerned they are the devil. I will probably buy a Fortissimo II, they are just about the same price as a Live!, but aren't made by creative (which I always see as a plus :D)
