New sound system for an Anime club

Too late 🙂 they bought the HTIB. Me thinks the decisions of where it will be when not at the anime club had some weight on the choices 🙂

one of the reasons I picked the smaller speakers is because they don't own the place, they just meet, setup, watch something and pack up again.

lugging pro gears will kill their wrist :awe:

I have a $25 Turtle Beach Micro II USB "soundcard" with analog + optical digital out that works very well for music, though I've never tried it for surround sound.

optical out should be fine for his purpose.

No of course not but things happen. Thats why PA speakers have a more industrial design. To handle being handled.

they are also designed to be trucked across the continent...

well, they managed to not drop their previous sound system, a HTIB, for a number of years, I don't see how this is any harder to handle.
