I need help deciding what sound card I should pair up with my new speakers. I don't want low quality speakers hindering a high quality sound card or vice versa. They're gonna be used for music and gaming.

So I'm looking at the following speakers (or others around the same price):

- logitech x-230
- creative i-trigue 3300/3400/3800

So what might be a good sound card for these?

Thanks

I wouldn't spend any money on a sound card for any of those speakers, that scenario would entirely be good soundcard + crappy speakers. Spend the money you have set aside for a sound card on getting better speakers like the Logitech Z-2300 speakers.

Welcome to AT.

Yeah, if your total budget is in the ~$30 to ~$70 range, you probably don't want to take a chunk out of that for a soundcard.

Don't bother with a soundcard, you won't see much of an improvement over current onboard sound.
