New Solar Panels at 42.8% percent

Roughly how long does it take for a solar panel to pay for itself? (I realize this can vary widely by geographical region... just looking for a ballpark)

edit: spelling

Great, so how long until these things can be manufactured in quanitiy, and at an acceptable price?

It's kind of a wash from what I've researched. I am planning on building a barn (metal aircraft hanger) when I build my house (at some future date lol) and coating the roof with solar panels to feed into the house's power system. 10 year payoff plan, 20 year lifespan, which really means 10-15 years of useful life. I mean you get ahead some, but it helps if you're building a house and getting it rolled into a loan plus getting the green home credits from the government.

one question...What's the cost per watt????

Isn't the good price (well, on used panels anyway) around $4/watt
