I got some new black socks for work. Every night after I come home from wearing them for the first time, my feet (mostly the bottoms) are covered in this black fuzz or something.

I've had other brands of socks do the same. It's usually dark colored socks that do this. Rarely do white socks cause this problem.

Is it me, the socks, or something else? Does this happen to you too?

I'm sure you get white fuzz also, you just don't see it as easily.

You do get white fuzz also, you just dont notice it.

Wash them inside out, twice, before you wear them. That helps a lot.

yeah, it's just loose cotton (or polyester or whatever your sock is) pieces. washing will get those to go away.

You're seriously asking about this? How mundane is your life?

Yeah, standard thing with new socks. I got new socks (only wear black, ftw) months ago, like five, and I still have fucking fuzz on my feet when I get in the shower in the morning. Wtf?

They just need to be washed to get rid of excess lint. Wash them inside out too.

Hah, I noticed this the last time I bought socks. It even advertised it on the bag. I just thought, "What the hell's the point?!"

i wish these these socks came in a bag. they had a piece of cardboard around them and then those plastic things through them to hold them together and attach them to the cardboard. was a pain to get them all out.

This is why I stick with sock index mutual funds. You get a collection of 500 different socks so even if some brands turn your feet black the others will still perform well.

 I've not seen this. Mine come in bundles of 3 with a little metal clip holding the pairs together.
