This is insane!! I was checking out a local PC shop and the price for a Intel Penium 4 2.0 GHz (Socket 478) is $964.99 CDN :Q :Q :Q
Seriously.. what's up with that... damn.

Don't buy one now then.
If you can have patience for a couple weeks, it'll be half that. At least it better be, or the borders are gonna get much buiser with people importing those babies from the US.

Keep in mind the local PC shops generally charge a lot more...at least the ones around me do! Haha...actually, no, that's not funny at all. (NOTE: I'm in the USA)

Thats at pccanada right? Their 1.5 ghz is $299 = ~$200 US, whereas in the US you can get that chip for about $130 or so. Thats not right. I could have sworn that last week the 1.5 ghz P4 was like $264. YES IT WAS. I remember. Why the hell did their prices go up? NCIX.com has the same CPU for $253.

EDIT: Oops, thats 478 for ya! The other one, 423, is cheaper.
