About at the end of my rope with this virus. Its a new smitfraud variant that hijacks your computer. It seems to be based around www.antispynet.com an obvious shill site for these toads.(put our military to good use go and send death squads after these bastards).
It does the usual smitfraud routine. Hijacks all online virus checkers, stops you from ending processes with ctrl-alt-del, stops you from using windows update.
It also periodically brings up a red box in the lower right corner of the screen that says Windows Security Center Alert, and I assume takes you to www.antispynet.com when you click it.
In Safe mode I have run every spyware, virus checker under the sun: adaware, spybot, Panda Online Virus, Housecall online virus, Bitdefender online virus.
I've also used smitfraudfix v2.79 in safemode.
I'd be willing to actually buy a program if someone said to me, yes this will 100% deal with your problem. But I dont want to buy something and have it not work like everything else i've tried.
Help!
