Icky new bugs?
Heads up, looks like some new junk out there that could potentially cause big problems. I searched for 'virus' and 'spyware' and didn't find anything pertaining to this, so sorry if it's a repost.

Russian organized crime is behind it so who knows WHAT the program does.

Guess I'll switch to a backup browser for a while until IE patches it.

I don't want this to turn into an "IE vs anti-IE" kind of thread, but it appears at least for now (until patches come out and AV software is updated to detect it), the safe thing is to use Mozilla, Opera or Firefox.

Try implementing that corporation-wide. I've had a hard enough time getting people to actually use a web browser, then I would have to ask them to switch to something new as well as install it. This kind of stuff is a huge headache. Hopefully between my firewall and IDP box, this won't be a problem.

MogulMonster, agreed, it's not something you can do on a large scale easily. That's why I think this has the potential of causing problems. It looks like at present they use the exploit to install a key logger or something like that, but I can only imagine what (worse) stuff could be implanted using the exploit.......
