Just bit the bullet on a new rig.

Thats 2-day shipping so I should see the stuff here by Friday in time for an upgrade filled weekend. Will take a while to get it up and running as I will have to start from scratch with the raid and the OS install. Will post benchies when I get em.
 
good luck, your system is going to rock. Dont forget to do a format and clean install. Especially f6 when installing windows to get your raid drivers in right the first time. You may also want to take the spare drive and download all the updated drivers, MB, video, sound, etc. so you wont have to download after fresh install.

the joys of posting in a forum 😛 i wouldnt go with 2x6800gts now unless you have a monitor that does a resolution greater than either 1680x1024 or 1600x1200 especially with the next generation of cards around the corner. if you plan on overclocking i'd get the DFI nF4 board, and to save get the 3200+ venice, i doubt you'll notice a difference except in your pocket. then you can buy a raptor which will make a noticeable improvement if you game

You "think" you can post whatever you want, but it's against forum policy to post multiple threads on the same topics.

I don't mind as much when somebody posts in some forum about a problem and they don't get an answer so after a while they'll post it in a different one to get more input. Posting a rig configuration (with no questions in it when you already bought it) to two different areas of the forum is not what they're here for.

By your logic, I can post whatever I want also, so I don't have to keep my comments to myself.

I am being a douchebag, but seeing all these "tell me I did a good job and even if I didn't there's nothing I can do about it because I bought everything already so I'm just going to defend whatever I got with my heart and soul" threads are irritating to me already.
