Okay I just wanted to get some opinions.

I need to get some new goggles. The ones I have are incredibly old and just won't cut it anymore.

I started snowboarding last year, and I bought a helmet in the summer, and now I need to get a new pair of goggles. So basically, I'm wondering...

How much should I spend for a good pair? I just want something that won't fog up and that I can use for a fair number of years. And it must fit around my helmet. I have K2 helmet, not sure which kind.

Anyway, what do you have and how do you find them?
Thanks!

PS I'd like to keep it under 80 USD.

hmm .

do you really need a goggle?

I know how its very bright when sun is out and how snow/ice gets in your eyes.

but from your experience, did you need it?

I use my sporty Oakleys my brother bought me :) works like a charm. I also have Goggles (one of famous brands)but I only used it once and hated it. I prefer my Oakleys much more.

Oh btw I dont wear helmet either, I didnt use em when i started, so they are just very uncomfortable . But I dont do much half-piping at all :)

damn you. i want to go snowboarding right now! :D

goggles are a must...oakleys are nice, but you should go to the ski shop and try a bunch on. $50 will get u a decent pair.

Spy Targa II's are what I have, and recommend. Cheap, does the job well, and designed to fit around helmets. And they look nice. :D

$80 should get you a good pair. bring your helmet with you to the shop so you can try the goggles on over the helmet. after all, you want them to be comfy while you have your helmet on.

i forget what brand mine were, i have 2 pair, scott and smith maybe. they were both less than $50. one pair has mirrored lenses for bright light conditions and the other has amber lenses for flat light conditions.

i can't ride with only sunglasses. my eyes get too watery.

The sky snowboard glasses are good for eyes. The red sky snowboard goggle also helps to protect your eye from ultraviolet rays from sun and wind. Its price is not large and everyone can easily buy it. The most important if you buy it from online store then you get good discount on it.
