If you had not seen MAX11L you should check it out...a lot of people commented they wished Silverstone would make a version like it. Well, they have!

Check it out!

Sweet! Wonder what the cost will be? At least people won't have to buy it with the 300W PSU and then upgrade to the 450W. Also, much better choices for mid-sized (shorter than 10") graphics cards these days compared to when these cases first came out.

The Silverstone site says 9" max length, which rules out a Radeon 6870 but I think a 6850 will fit and a GTX 460 is only 8.25".

I'm tempted to build one just because, even though my 4870 is still working well for the games I play.

I put a 5850 in mine without modification, and a 480 GTX in mine with some minor modding....check the link in the OP 🙂

Did the two 6-pin power connectors need to be attached to the Video card before the installation? (Some people have mentioned that needs to happen in order to install slightly longer cards)

Yes, it was a PITA...but doable. There are some 5850 (non reference) cards with the power connectors on top....if I had to do it again, I'd get one of those.

What other competition exists for this case? (I have been out of the Mini-ITX loop for a while)

I see Antec has a new Mini Skeleton 😀, but it looks like that won't handle a Video card.

i wish i could find a mini-itx am2+/am3 board with a pci-e x16 slot. there's an intel board that has one and built in wifi, but can't seem to find an amd equivalent. i'd love to build a system in the sg-07.

edit: actually jetway might make one. dunno how i missed that. unfortunately it uses so-dimms. close, so close!

OOS, but great prices. Doesn't seem much more than the 300W version, and the 450W PSU by itself was running for $70-80.

Zap, in your experience, when does Amazon restock? Fairly quickly like newegg or just randomly? I can move on a used SG05 w/ a 300w PSU, but for the build I have in mind, I'd prefer the 450w, of course.

The little woman has Amazon prime so I could get free shipping. Would be nice, you know? So I'd rather go through Amazon if possible.

Tremendous build. Please advise me on a few points, if you'd be so kind.

I'm putting together a LAN/HTPC build for my girl's place, which I will steal for LAN usage at times. I've snatched up the Gigabyte H55 mITX motherboard, and I have a chance at a used SG05 with a 300w PSU for like $80.

Essentially, I want to build with either an i3 530 or an i5 750 and most likely a 6850 (but also possibly a GTX 460 1GB). I would overclock the CPU mildly (3.6 to 4.0), but probably not touch the video card much, if at all. Would the 300w PSU handle this? It appears it will, but I'd like some opinions on the matter.
