Hey peeps, there are new Silicon Image 3112 SATA controller drivers available on Windows Update. Version is 1.0.0.50. Here are the release notes:
I. Overview
The driver files are in the following directory:
\\IRVINE-FS1\SC DATA\DrvRel\EgrRel\Raid\3112\32 bit\1.0.0.50
II. Applicable Hardware /Software
This release supports the following hardware:
SII 3112
SII 3512
III. Installation
Follow the enclosed README file driver installation/update procedures.
IV. New Features and Enhancement
1. Add new SVID=103C, and SPID =2A1E for HP.
2. Add new SVID=174B, and SPID=0A44 and 0A45 for ATI?s customers.
3. Add new SVID=1462, and SPID=0030 for ATI?s customer MSI.
V. Corrections
1. Fixed a S3 suspend/resume problem that was induced in earlier base driver.
VI. Known Restrictions
1. The Maxtor 4D060H3 drive only runs UDMA up to mode 5 due to its firmware issue.
2. Certain Seagate models need the ?mod15? patches during DMA write.
3. Device command queue feature was disabled
I already installed them over the top of the 1.0.0.47 set and nothing bad happened. My benchmark scores using the new HD Tach 3.0 Official are only slightly faster than before, possibly within the realm of statistical deviation. Perhaps they will fix an issue you are having, I wasn't having any problems myself.
I was going to link to them but in the time it took me to install them and reboot they have been made "unavailable". Hmmm.... I have them zipped up if someone wants them, I can send the drivers to you by email or I can upload them to your FTP server.
