They have all of the new models, there are 3 for ATI cards, and 2 or 3 for nVidia cards.

If anyone sees any reviews, please post URLs. I'd like to know specifically about the ATI versions.

EDIT: link

I assume that would fit the plain jane 6800 as well? Not to mention Arctic Cooling fans are NOT MEANT FOR OVERCLOCKING!!!!

Au contraire Tabb, many get BETTER overclocks with VGA Silencers installed in the place of the stock coolers.

$45 forget it. The obsession with silence appears to be growing more expensive all the time.

Damn, that's pricey. Better go with the MSIs and their quiet coolers (see GamePC review). Doesn't help current owners, though, but I can't imagine these Silencers will stay that expensive. A 300% markup seems kind of ridiculous.

Tabb, why do you say that? A lot of ppl who own the original Silencer say it allowed them to OC higher, in addition to lowering temps (as the two are directly related).

Man, wtf?? AC's site list the msrp at $29.99. Newegg has really gouged people looking for anything 6800 related.

Hate to admit it, but $45.00 would be nice, if that was all I spent looking for silence. :(
If this works well (below 18db at idle), it makes the gt a much more realistic choice for my needs.
I am looking forward to reviews on the different solutions available on each platform. When I listen to music, thats what I like to hear.

If it's like other AC VGA Silencers, then it's not thermally controlled...you get a hi/lo switch. My system is near silent and I can hear it faintly whirring on low, but that was the Rev.1.

Also, if MSRP is $29.99, then that means it will be $25 once other stores have it too. I can wait.

Yesterday these were listed for 39.99 w/ 5 dollars shipping on Newegg. Today, the price jumped to 42.99 and 6 dollars for shipping. What is up with newegg lately, they seem to be charging shipping for everything now. Equally important I do not kno why newegg would charge over the msrp. Sure, it might be supply and demand, but Newegg used to have the best prices around the web. Nowadays, their prices fluctuate everyday. I think ill buy from zipzoomfly or even directron from now on.

No kidding. I started to use SVC when I was looking at VGA Silencers Rev 3, and it was $20 at Newegg, and $10 at SVC. Others don't have as big as a selection, but Neweggs prices have forced me to look elsewhere.

Just a few minutes ago, Newegg just raised the price to 44.99. So, it went from 39.99 to 42.99 and now 44.99. Gotta love newegg.

I've noticed it as well. Just placed a big order from them about a week ago and my shipping was ridiculous. Be nice if they offered free shipping for orders over a certain dollar amount, or at the very least, a flat rate. Still, they are a quality shop, and their RMA policy is great. I usually overlook the hidden costs and occasional inflation in prices becuase i know i'll get my stuff. It usually arrives a lot earlier than they estimate, and if i need to return something i have no worries.

I'm noticing at newegg, though, that more and more motherboards are becoming return only...no refunds. That's a pretty big annoyance for people who get a board, read the manual or otherwise discover that some part of the board isn't compatible with the rest of their system. Or maybe the board gave them problems and they don't want to deal with the same make or model. Those people are now stuck.

I'm sticking with my Kingwin Arctic Liquid Cooler System. It already comes with tubing for cooling practically everything in the case. All I'd have to get is the waterblock which I'll get from DangerDan.

I strongly agree. Alot of products on newegg is either "exhange for the exact same item only, " or no refunds. In addition, newegg changed their rma process. Before they would send you the item and you just put ur cc number down. My friend rma'ed a mobo a few days ago and they told him to send the board in first.

Ok, so you have one already or its coming in the mail? cause even the link you have there says
Ram cooling : NO

If it cools the ram on my 6800GT I'll order one right now, the stock XFX cooler kinda sucks.
