New Show on FOX: Oliver Beene

Oliver Beene is on the Fox station right now (for us East coasters & Central time zoners.) Maybe it's just me, but the previews of the show seemed quite funny. After catching the first 10 minutes of the show, it looks like a show that I'll try to catch on a regular basis - I don't watch too many shows on a regular basis.

Your thoughts of Oliver Beene?
 
So far, it's a lot like The Wonder Years.

Then there's the scary choice of 'Miles' from murphy brown as the dad.

We'll see, I'm thinking I won't miss it. But, it's better than a Simpson's repeat every week. At least better than a modern Simpson's repeat every week.


 
He said the girls boobs were "Ginormous."
Other than that, it's The Wonder Years but a little raunchier.
 
I think it is pretty funny. Especially when the kid compares the nerds in the gameroom to worms under a rock

The Nok Hockey part just completed it. We use to play Nok Hockey at the swim club hahaha
 
Meh...there were some funny parts, but i was not really that impressed, all the funny parts were shown on the commericals
 
i like the fact that David Cross is attached to it (narrator). David Cross is the funniest man in the world.
besides that it's decent.

Really, that was David Cross? I dunno if I can support "funniest man in the world." Mr. Show is pretty hilarious, and his walk-ons on other sitcoms have been amusing. Saw him live once, and he was just obnoxious. Not really funny at all.

I only caught the show a few times, but it was also good when I watched it.

Yeah, but the mom spent nearly the whole show wrapped up in the robe because she was wearing an "out of style" striped bathing suit. 🙁

For me, the best moment was when the father was on the diving board mooning everyone at the country club. All those "uppity" people needed to see a little cheek. 😉
 
I just saw a commercial for another new show on Fox, "The Pitts"


Gotta love FOX... home of "the disfunctional family" 🙂
