well, it's about that time for an upgrade, gonna be building a whole new rig, giving my old one to my parents.
So here's the setup i was thinking about:
Epox 8K3A <-----newegg has rev. 1 while mwave has rev. 1.1. (anyone know what changes were made and are they worth getting the rev. 1.1)
AMD Athlon XP 1800+/266 FSB (1.53Ghz)
Antec SX840
Maxtor 60 Gb 7200 RPM
Pioneer 16X DVD Slot (model: 106S/2)
Toshiba 16X DVD (model: SD-M1612) <----for my cous.
Samsung floppy drive
Gainward Geforce 3 Ti200 128 Mb DDR
Microsoft XP Professional
512 Mb DDR from crucial
Still considering:
Hercules game theather XP
Klipsch 2.1 (3 piece)
or
Logitech Z560 4.1
about the speakers and soundcard, i usually just use my sont headphones for listening to music and playing games. plus, downstairs neighbors would probably flip (thin walls)
As of yet, i dunno what kind of HSF to get. Can anyone think of any compatability issues with the Epox board? any HSF i shoud stay away from? I may overclock sometime in the future.
again, any suggestions on any of the above parts would be greatly appreciated.
