I recently put together a new setup with the following hardware: A64 3800+, GA-K8NF-9, e-VGA 7900GT, 1GB PC3200, 1 SATA HDD, 2 optical drives, a 450W power supply from AMS, and 3 case fans. After some intial difficulty, I was able to install Windows XP. But the computer seems unstable and randomly reboots. I also occasionally get Windows error messages saying that windows explorer has encountered an error and needs to shut down. Then it asks if i want to send an error report and I just click don't send. I am not sure what would cause this to happen and need some help. I suspect it might be related to the motherboard, but this is mostly a guess. Should I try and update my chipset drivers or BIOS? I only used the retail drivers and BIOS version so far. I don't think my memory is the problem because I used it for over 2 years in my previous system without issue. The power supply is new, but it seemed like a solid choice after I read a review on it. How can i figure out what the problem is?
