From that article The Allen Telescope Array will cover frequencies between 1,000 and 10,000 MHz
Within range of the current SETI client 😉 ,though I see no mention of SETI@home
BTW Tommorows world had a large part of their program last night about space missions & about SETI ,though I didn't hear SETI@home mentioned I did miss part of the show 🙁.
I'll see if I can find a link for that too.........
Here's a link disscussing weather or not we should be trying to make outside contact ,are they kidding? 😉
IIRC S@H only covers 2.5 Mhz centered around the 1421 Mhz neutral hydrogen spin flip emission line. The Allen Telescope Array will cover the entire "radio-quiet" region, of course there is a little bit of terrestrial interference in that range but what can you do?
And then what are you going to do about analyzing all that data? Maybe by then enough people will have always on broadband so that the internet can be the backplane in some hugh real time distributed analysis supercomputer! 🙂
