Has anyone had any experience with the ITX boards and chips from Via? I'm currently looking at the FIC Falcon CR51, from new egg and was curious if anyone could give me any information about it. The one review of this said it was pretty loud. I'm guessing that this would have to be from either that little fan on the chip or the power supply since there are no fans. With no optical drive, I would remove the optical drive tray and put a passive heatsink on the chip. I would also be putting a barracuda V in this system. This will be used only as a server (web, sql, file, ftp and anything else I may need) in my home and accessed by no more than a handful of connections. It won't be hooked up to a monitor as that isn't needed, so the cheap video that is integrated is not a problem.
