i dont give a damn how hard you screw a company like xfx over, but NEVER lie on these forums.

I told you guys not to believe anything this guy says. Instead I keep getting slammed for slamming this lying bafoon.

I dont even believe he has had a single 6800gt at this point.

He does have a 6800GT, this one is working fairly well at the moment. He's given up on this thread because of the idiocy within, and the lack of reason on the part of his acusers.

I'll post the pic that we snapped at the LAN on friday night. After that I'm done with you pig headded bafoons. I did like the way CS:S looked with Tony's card though. Much better than my 4800SE. But my Leadtek repalcement is scheduled to be arriving this afternoon. I'll even post a pic of that for you baboons do call photoshop on.

I have wasted a bunch of time reading through all of the cr*p here...

A+ is fairly easy. It used to ask some strange questions that no longer applied and was best passed by reading one of the many study guides. I know of at least 2 HS students I knew that had the ticket and one that had a MSCE. Mute point.

I am not going off on the tangent that everyone else has, but on face value, there is something interesting here. The new fabbed chip seems to have a working PVP? GPU temp change playing SIL. Did I misread something?

No you didn't misread (I don't think), but it would be nice to have independent collaboration of this point.

Just for the record. What some people on some internet forum think of you does not matter. Well, unless it is some IRS or FBI forum ;)

I would just like to see the reaction of those who continually insist that all of our claims are false. Though there probably won't be any reactons because they will realise they have been ownzed and return to their hiding spot under their bridge..

We really need 'geforcetony' to re-run some tests, this time with a control, to verify. What he posted earlier was unforunately inconclusive without some control reference to compare to.

I don't think anyone here believed that ALL of your claims are false. Some people believed some things, and not others. That picture doesn't really prove anything since it is just a pic of the two of you and Tony's computer. I think some of us are still waiting for solid test results on the new card's specs and performance.

Ok so all that does it prove that you are both seperate people not duplicate accounts.

He is still running and NV5, which by installing effectively voids your warranty.

SO far i really haven't seen any trolls in this thread, no one has been 100% wrong.

Seeing as this is a thread about speculation of a second revision NV40 chip, and how it almost immediately resulted into half-blind accusations, hearsay and even a temporary account suspension, I fail to see how you can this this thread hasn't been hijacked (ergo trolled).

Unfortunately, that's what seems to happen in Video as of late; you post something and everyone makes assumptions and jumps to conclusions. Just the fact that this thread is about the GeForce6 alone makes it an all too personal topic for many users, who can't bear to read anything negative about this card.

geforcetonyWhen you ran the Step Into Liquid trailer did you test out the 720p or 1080p version? If it was the 1080p version and it stayed under 100% that would seem to indicate that the video processor is working in the new card.

What about other WMV-HD content? Is it also low/medium CPU usage?

There is no WMV acceleration on any of the GF6 cards yet. MPEG decoding is all that is enabled for any GF6 card with the PVP.

1) He never argued that this would void his warrenty.

2) You're freaking blind.

Because there have been numerous flames towards my buddy that wouldn't have stood anywhere else.

Admittedly I think he's a dumby for having sent the 3rd one back after it crapped out on him, but what would you have done? It was worth a try, and he got away with it. Props for him, but I don't condone it.

I'm having my own problems right now with an online retailer trying to get a working video card. I got my second bad one today. 6800GT from Leadtek, via www.buyxg.com they sent me the same box, which had ben damaged since I shipped it to them, with a card that does nothing but artifacts. I'm trying to get in contact with them, but I haven't had success yet. I'm going to ask for a refund and get a 6600GT from newegg.

Wouldn't have stood elsewhere. GOd forbid you guys ever venture into P&N forum. Waahmbulance will be there in no time.

Props to him for STEALING!?!?

Now this is getting ridiculous you are on your 2nd bad card and are sending that back. Come on now, just fess up to what you did or are doing. As i said this is getting even more unbelievable than it already was.

I didn't do anything to it. I put it in my mother board just like I did with my Gainward 4800 Ti SE and turned on the power. The first one wasn't so bad, but it was getting too hot for comfort and would eventually freeze in conjunction with MASSIVE bad sounds coming from the fan. So I sent it back and asked for another one.

They sent me another one, and I put it in, just like I should. Except it wouldn't fit. The damned back plate was bent because the idiots at the warehouse don't know what their doing. So I bend it straight, and put it in. As soon as the monitor flicks on to start POSTing, there are artifacts ALL OVER THE SCREEN. ON THE FIRST BOOT. How is that MY FAULT?

I'm not trying to screw anyone over. I'm trying to upgrade my computer. I'm trying to get in touch with www.buyxg.com to get them to refund my damned money. I didn't do a damned thing to my card, except install it like I should.

It's not my freaking fault.

Well seeing as your "friend" RMAd 4 different times two of which the warranty was voided and you are on your second RMA and third card dont you think that would raise suspisions even more than they already were.

If you didn't notice this is already kind of tense and a lot of people (myself included) are finding it very hard to believe all this. If i were you after seeing what happened to your "friend" i wouldn't have posted that you are on your 2nd RMA as well.

Negative, you're going a little too far there little Jimmy.

I'm on my SECOND card.

Tony is on his 4th, and only voided the warrenty on one of his cards (come to think of it, I'll give him a whack to the head when I walk into class in the morning for that, ok?) not 2, and didn't get 4 dead cards.

I'm going through buyxg, with Leadtek on my deal, which at this point I'm giving up on both the company and the card. I'm going to return it for a refund, not another card (please note, I've only had A card work halfway decently for me for about 2 hours at stock settings, with no fiddling to ANYTHING, after having bought a new powersupply because I thought my Antec 350watter to be insufficient) because I'm getting sick of the 6800's.

I want to return my card to buyxg and get a 6600 from newegg. I'm not hunting for "the perfect card", or trying to void warrenties or anything.

I'll tell you what man, I'll even make a video of the next card that I get, from the time I pick it up from the front of my house, to the time it makes it into my computer. You can watch it. If I have a dead card, you can tell me how I screwed it up. Ok? Because I didn't do anything other than remove them from the box and put them into my computer. I didn't over clock them, I hadn't even heard of cool bits or the Riva thingy until I started posting here. I just got tired of having half choppy frame rates in HL2, and decided I'd upgrade my computer, so I could pass my GeForce 4 Ti onto my second computer(the one I'm posting from now) that has a GeForce 2 MX 400.

If you want to be suspicious of me, go right ahead. I'm telling y ou what I'm doing, I'm not hiding anything. Do you want me to put the card back in and try to get a reading from the nVidia control panel through the heavy artifacing? I already posted a new thread about it here in the video forum, I provided a screenshot of the artifacing. I provided a shot of the case, which shows (look towards the yellow box and nVida logo) the dent in it from shipping. I'll take shots of the card from whichever angle you want if that will help set your mind at ease.

I just want to get a card that works, and not have to spend $50 shipping dead cards back to the store I bought them from to get another dead one.

Im not accusing you. I simply believe it is far fetched. Hmm you are on your second card, and trying to return it which means you are RMAing twice.

As for your "friend" he hs already RMAed 4 times according to his posts and i stand corrected as 1 time his warranty was voided and it is voided now so if this card were to be return than that would make it two.

Again, myself and everyone else here has no reason to believe you; however, we have no reason not to believe you. If you haven't noticed this isn't the place where you want to post that your friend has RMAd 4 times and you 2 times. Especially with voided warranties involved.

You said I was on my 3rd card, which I will not be on. At lest a 3rd 6800. I have never done anything to my video cards to void their warrenties. I have however OCed my old 1800+. Got it up to 2400+ levels before it crashed and wouldn't reboot on me. It's now chugging away in my web browsing and non stressful gaming box. (1800+ 1gb PC2100, 80gb Main drive, 40gb secondary, 48x TDK burner, 16x DVD reader, GeForce 2 MX400 64mb version)

I said you would be on your 3rd card if your RMA got approved.

I never said you did anything to void their warranties, i simply said its just unbelievable the "luck" you guys have with cards. I did however, accuse GeforceTony of stealing, as he did return 1 card with a voided warranty and was/is attempting to return his other card with a voided warranty.

Im not sure why you are listing your computers specs, i never said/accused anything about your system. I simply said your Video card "luck" is getting unrealistic.

I've had a lot of "Luck" recently as well. I won't bother going into it in detail as it will all be met with scheptisim here.

I just like talking about my system specs.

And Tony is so far happy with his current 6800GT. It hasn't proved to be "Lucky" yet.
