New SDD generation due 4th qtr?

In many articles (Anand, etc.) mention was made that we should be able to purchase next generation SSD drives in 4th qtr 2010 -- faster (sata 6), newer chips, cheaper, etc. I was looking forward to get them soon.

Anyone has updates on these?

Thanks,

I did review Intel roadmaps, but it looks they are coming in the 1st half of 2011 or later.

I'm thinking you will find the same timeline for everyone else. Intel sort of leads the pack from what I can tell. OCZ also tends to be on the leading edge as well. I'm assuming 2nd half of next year we'll see the prices drop. But I'm not waiting until then, why should you wait to remove your bottlenecks, price won't be much difference to matter. By then you'll want to use whatever you have in something else and get the newer stuff with the new Intel chips next year that are supposed to remove the PCI bus in the mobos anyways, thus, freeing up more bandwidth in the boards.

so according to this intel are switching to 25nm flash and increasing capacities but not performance. G3 with proper upgraded performance/controllers will come in 2011.
The sandforce drives seem to be using an updated controller but no idea what that will mean for performance.
