You didn't say what OS - For WinXP/2000 try this one...

Creative SBLive and select Americas as your region and Sound Blaster Live! as your card.

I am starting to get fed up with creatives drivers & software updates. You can no longer just get the liveware software package that will install and upgrade all the drivers to the current version. When you do a clean install now you have to install the old liverware version and just upgrade it to the current ones. They also no longer post the software other than the drivers for there cards. I am just venting so plz bear with me

I got fed up with them a few months ago when they annouced that you have to buy a driver/application CD if you wanted the latest versions of Liveware.

Do what most do - don't use Liveware! Download the latest drivers which include Audio HQ and Surround Mixer which are the only decent features of Liveware anyway - the rest of it is just bloated, consumer crap.

hey, related question...
anyone having issues with volume levels with an sblive card and xp?
i don't remember this happening before i got the new drivers, and i tried going back to microsofts drivers and the problem is still there...
the volume is WAY too loud. in 98, i kept all my volume levels at 100% (wave, midi, lineout, etc) and had my master volume at like 50%. now in xp, i have to keep the master volume at like 8% and every change is enormous. i lowered my all the individual levels to 25% and if i were to bring my master volume up to 50%, it would be ear splitting...
anyone else have this problem?
any idea how to fix it?
thanks.
