im my day, 1600 was perfect.

whats perfect now?

what is considered "Good"

maybe someone could compare old scores to new scores for me

what would a 1200 be = to?
1300?
1500?

2400 is the new 1600.

Most people would consider 2000 and up to be good. I got 2200, wanted 2250 (equivelant to 1500 of old) but whatever, I'm satisfied enough. Some would say above 1800 is good, depends on your standards of course.

Generally the new score is = to the old score x 3/2, ie, and old 1200 = new 1800.

to me anything above 2000 is good to me, some colleges still don't looka t the writing part which is that extra 800 points on the new SAT. and look at math and reading which is still the 1600 points your used to

I got my scores back today and I think I did well. I got a 2180. I think average is like 1500-1600 and good would be 1800-2000. These are my guesses.

edit: My school's SAT scores suck. The highest for our class was like 2240.... Do college's look at the school's average for SAT's?

I got a 1000 on the SAT when I took it, (this was the old system). Im in community college now and that SAT score does'nt mean ****** when I start attending UCLA next year.

colleges dont look at the writing section (which is 800 points) yet... so yeah, just dont count the writing part and your score will be out of 1600...
