I am trying to install an LG blu ray burner. I pulled out an Asus IDE drive, installed the LG sata drive, and plugged the sata cable into Sata port 0, the only empty black sata port I have left (not using the blue marvel ports - don't have or want RAID). The computer starts to boot up, and then freezes. As soon as I unplug the power to the new sata burner, everything is fine. Does any one know how I can resolve this?

Never mind. I finally resolved it.
Switched sata cable with another sata device that was working, which allowed it to be recognized. Then it installed drivers and started working. The original sata device disappeared for a moment, after I rebooted a second time it was re-discovered. Everything is okay now.
