Cheaper RAM (you wont notice a difference)
SAMSUNG F3, same quality and performance as the WD black, only 25 bucks cheaper.
A new PSU would be a good thing.

Can i ask what you current GPU is?

And lastly all the ASUS motherboards have been experiencing lots of problems and i see NO reason for you to get the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe anyway. I would recommend this instead.

Thanks for Answer!

Current GPU is : HFX Radeon HD 5770-5 months old--Will buy new GPU in a year or so when better/cheaper units appear!

Think I need to trade in my 3 year old Corsair 630 PSU for the corsair 650 or 750-on sale at the egg??

Motherboard--Will that ASrock do everything a Gamer/enthusiast could wish for?? If so I'll have to get--it's in stock as well!!

Well anything else??

GOD (the Universe) will certainly shine on you for helping your Seniors--I love you Man!! 🙂

For OC reasons i would get the Hyper 212+ HSF

I dont really like corsair PSU's i like ANTEC, and SeaSonic (there is a review of a new seasonic PSU on AnandTech's front page right now!). Bottom line IMHO is that you will probably be fine with your current PSU but getting a good high quality PSU is a nice thing to have as in the long run it will save you money and allow you to upgrade without worrying about power requirements. If you have the budget i would get this PSU(dont be dissuaded by the $120 price tag!), and finally a solid state drive.

Doesn't Seasonic make the Corsair PSU"s?? 620, 650 and 750? Is that seasonic 560 enough power?

Thanks again.

Yep, looks good to me. Your current PSU should be plenty. The original HX's were Seasonic IIRC.

Seriously, add that Hyper 212 CPU cooler if you haven't. It's cheap enough and fantastic. My 2500k temps are damn near room temp (w/out overclock).

I'm also surprised nobody told you to look at SSDs. With the room in your budget you should be able to get a good 120gig one.

Got the 212--Had to get a "New" Corsair PSU--hx 650--Could not help myself Spock! lol
I am still frightened by SSD's but will probably get one--I have been using Raptors for boot drives since they came out.--Would I notice a "Stunning" difference??

Thanks everyone for your help!!
Parts are in Ontario, CA boarding a Jet for "the Volunteer State"...
Asus Monitors just arrived from Memphis...

I boot on my laptop using an SSD in 18 seconds on average, this is a cold boot. From standby it is instant. and once you enter your password there is a 1 second pause before pretty much EVERYTHING is loaded onto your desktop. Maybe 3-4 raptors in RAID 0 could compete but plain raptors cant.

You wasted your money on the new PSU I'm afraid. 🙁

SSDs are nothing to be frightened by, they are to be worshiped instead. 😱 But seriously, here's a chart showing why the Raptor is absolutely nothing compared to an SSD.
