I just got a new computer with a samsung 950p 19" monitor.. I've had the system for about 3 weeks now, and only now I just started to notice in the corners of the monitor there are some curved lines which bend outwards from the center of the computer.. they are only visible in the corners when there is a pure colour displayed on my monitor.. like a purely blue background or something like when booting up into win XP. Otherwise (like now) I cant notice the lines at all. Can't see them in games either. So the only time they are visible at all is when there is a pure colour on the screen and that is pretty rare.. but nevertheless I wanted to ask: Is this a common trait of monitors, or is mine defective? And if it is defective, do you think I should bother returning it for a new one? (I'm still on a 30 day waranty).. It would be quite a hassle though to ship the monitor or drive over on the ferry to the store which I bought the comp at. ($40 each way on the ferry canadian..) So what do you guys think.. I dont know how standard this kind of problem is or even if its something I should be worrying about at all.

::EDIT::

I was just playing around with the marquee screensaver and setting the background to different colours and could barely notice the lines even when only 1 colour was on my screen.. I'm not sure why it is more noticable to me when im booting up and see the windows XP loading screen.. maybe my monitor isnt quite as bad as I thought it was.. however if I really look close ( I mean REALLY close ) I can still see the curved lines faintly.. To be honest now im not really too worried at all, but id still like to ask if anyone else has seen this and whether or not my monitor would still be called 'defective' ;)
