Question New Samsung 970 Evo Problems?

New SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 2TB Current Firmware
MSI Z690 Edge DDR4
I7-12700K

System has been stable since 12/27. No known updates

System is on UPS

Windows suddenly started freezing 20 to 30 seconds after boot.

Memtest is fine.

Works fine in Safe mode.

Windows repair says it cannot repair the drive.

Attempts to restore from restore points fail.
Cannot restore from backup because Windows lock up.

Would expect the 970 Drive is having issues but the Samsung Magician scan says everything is fine. I do not trust it.

Comments, suggestions ?

Similar thing happened to me with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB over the past couple of weeks. AMD 3700x and Aorus X570 Pro Wifi.

Occasional stutters or freezes. Nightly backups would fail. Lost network drives. Then profiles started acting weird. Samsung Magician nor Windows drive utilities found any issues.

Moved a clone from a month ago to a Samsung 960 EVO SATA drive a couple of days ago. Ran updates yesterday. No issues so far.

Hmm, I suspect a windows/driver/software issue, especially if safemode is working fine. Just to be clear, what version of windows? 10 or 11? And what feature update revision? (20H2, 21H2, etc)
