New Ryzen build only sees 1 of my 3 HDDs (also weird no display issue)

Heres my specs:

AMD Ryzen 1700
Gigabyte GA-AB350-GAMING 3
Stock Wraith Spire cooler
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB)
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC
MyDigitalSSD BPX 80mm 480GB
3 HDDs (5TB, 2TB, and a 320GB 5400rpm 2.5" drive)
Corsair 460X RGB Case
RM650x power supply
Windows 10

So my main problem is that even though all my HDDs are plugged in and powered up, only my 2.5" drive is working and even showing up in the bios and disc management.

The 5TB and 2TB drive are connected to SATA ports 0 and 1
The 320GB drive is hooked up to port 3

I know the drives are receiving power since I can feel them spin up when powering up the PC.

No idea why ports 0 and 1 arent working.

EDIT: Tested both ports 2 and 3 and they work fine, port s 0 and 1 are not working at all. (swapped drives and cables and stuff)

Also on a side note. Seems like im having trouble with my display output when turning on the PC occasionally. Nothing is loose, cable has been fine with my last PC. Its just every other time I power on this PC I get nothing on screen - my monitor doesn't wake up. Any ideas? EDIT: It happens when I first plug my PC in and turn on. Once it does this, I hold the power button to turn off, and then power back on and its fine.

Thanks in advance.

Are you plugging them into the Sata 0/1 ports on the board or the Asata 0/1 ports on the board? The Asata ports are the Asmedia sata controller ports, not the native AMD ports.

yep, thats it. Didnt realize there were other ports to try. What are ASATA ports even for? Thanks!

Any idea about the display output issue?

The display output issue you're having should be rectified with a future bios update. I've heard other's with similar issues on their Ryzen boards.

To give more ports, as the board only comes with 4 from the AMD chipset. Personally i would use the 4 in the bottom corner(AMD port) before the ASATA ports

yea my MSI board coupled with the RX 480 was having display issues also, I think it's chipset related.

i have the BIOS download page bookmarked lol

Havent had a problem since NOT unplugging my pc, or switching off the psu. A few days ago a left it unplugged for a while, and could not get the display to come on no matter what. Finally i was able to get in to the bios by pressing del and after that I did a restart and now its fine, even whne completely powering off.

Weird, but as long as its not ALL the time I can deal with it I guess.
