As many of you already know, the 6800GT oc pcie is nearly impossible to find right now. I had an idea which I wanted to run buy you guys to see what you think. Would it be (performance wise) just as good to get two 6600 pcie cards and an sli board as to get just the 6800? Thoughts?Ideas?Suggestions.

dual 6600GT's i've read gets similar performance to a 6800GT, I'd definitely try to get at least 1 6800GT now, with the possibility of upgrading to a 2nd, later on. dual 6600GT's would cost more than 1 6800GT also...

Actually, You can get 2 6600 GT's for <$400.
A PCI-E 6800 GT are $450-500, if you can even find one in stock.

That being said, if you get 2 6600 GT's now, you're kind of defeating the purpose of having SLI. You could just save money and stay with AGP for now.

Does anyone have an idea were I could pick up a 6800gt pci express? I am right in the middle of ordering my new stuff and need help!!!
