New RIg "torture testing" software

Hi, I'm about to assemble a completely new build and am wondering what software you all recommend/use to reasonably test out new hardware for defects, etc.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
everything is new...
* CPU (Intel)
* MOBO (ASUS)
* GPU (7950)
* RAM (Kingston)
* SSDs
* HDDs

...this is my 1st build ever so this should be fun

It's not really necessary to be honest. If you recieve a defective part you will most likely notice pretty quickly.

Otherwise if you want to:
CPU: Prime 95 or Intel Burn Test with AVX Support
MOBO: Can't really think of anything
GPU: OCCT
RAM: memtest86+
SSD/HDD: Can't really think of anything. Maybe just test the speed with ATTO (SSD) and HDTach or HDTune(HDD)

There is a multitude of different programs and most people have their preferences. I don't bother much with stress testing unless i notice a problem or want to overclock.

For the GPU try FurMark's latest version.

For the SSDs you could use any program that reads S.M.A.R.T. data, like CrystalDiskInfo for example, in order to monitor its overall health.

Knoppix (to check out basic stuff - onboard audio, LAN, USB ports, slots, etc.)
IntelBurnTest
Prime95 (only after IntelBurnTest passes)
FurMark
