overclock the cpu, shoulda gone with ddr ram and mobo, geforce3 vid card. these aren't necessary, just suggestions

DDR, 'cuz its cheaper than some SDR modules along with MSI K7T266 or EPoX 8K7A.
I don't know the specs for the Annihilator II but if can find another board with faster RAM, that should help your to O/C it better.
IBM 60GXP, quiter faster, not that expensive ($90 for 20G, 125 for 40G).
Don't plan to play DVDs with your 21" monitor? Oh yeah, you probably have a 63" HDTV sitting next to you...
What CPU cooling?? Do you have a old comp that you can rip a FDD from to save a few $$$?
and a Antec SX830 or SX1030 is another good case unless you can shell our for Lian-Li or Koolance or Plexiglass.

All in all, pretty good. I'm thinking of buying something similar too...
