I'm building a new rig and seem to have a $3000 budget for everything. The only thing sure about is that I want to build it around Q9430. Please post your oppionions for the remaining parts: mobo, ram, gpu, cooler, case, etc.

Thanks!

Given your system specs in your sig, combined with the info regarding your budget, and the fact that you are 3-4 months away from Bloomfield release...any reason to not hold out a little while longer and make the step up to a Nehalem system?

Your system is a lot more powerful than mine, and minus a graphics card update, I won't be upgrading until Nehalem. What is your current system preventing you from doing?

I doubt you need any help picking stuff with a budget as large as 3k. just get the top stuff money can buy you;ll all set.

While it's very easy to price out a $3k+ rig, I have to agree. $3000 for a system sans monitor is really high end these days especially if you have already picked a $300 processor. I think you would have to be very specific as to your planned usage of this machine and certain costly extras you may want, like bluray, dual or tri video cards, etc. Or if this budget includes a monitor then that changes things a lot as well.

Also this question belongs in the general hardware forum I think.
