Hey guys,
Quick question about my first build which I got done this week (in sig). Everything runs fine, but my ram is running at 2T. (Confirmed in BIOS as well as in Everest).

What prevents me from just changing it to 1T in the BIOS? I mean I'm running only 2 DIMM, so shouldn't it be at 1T by default?

I guess I don't understand why my rig would default to 2T vs. 1T. My stock RAM timings are 3-3-3-8, if that's helpful.

My Monarch computer arrived with the timing at 2T. I changed it to 1T and it ran memtest and Prime95 without a hitch. If you went with "Auto" in your BIOS for your mem settings, be aware that many motherboards do not do a stellar job of picking settings on their own.

Most of the time motherboards default the command rate to 2T, mainly to make sure it will boot with what ever ram has been installed. You can just change it to 1T in the BIOS that will be fine.

Thanks for the confirmation guys. I'll make the change and run memtest to make sure all is well.
