I have finally got my new rig together. All is well and i am happy with its performance apart from playing games! my hardware is as follows:-
3.2ghz extreme dual core
corsair 6400C4 Twinx 2gig (2x1024)
seagate 7200.9 300gb sata 2
AW8D (975x) mobo
seasonic 500 PSU
Gainward 6800GS GLH 512 GPU
The games i have tried running are :-
Farcry @ 1280x1024 everything on full
Halo @ 1280x1024 everything on full
Half Life2 @ 1280x1024 everything on full
All the games listed seem to run fine for a short time then, they crash and reboot my system. My rig is not overclocked(havent even got to that stage yet) all the drivers are the latest.
I have tried turning some of the graphics settings down or off like anistropic (???) filtering / antialiasing and it varies between resets!
I wouldnt expect a system to not reboot itself and just hang if it was too much to handle, but i cant fiqure this one out! i have reintalled windows twice now and just want to finish it asap. Could this be a memory issue, gpu, issue, cpu issue i just dont know !
Can anyone shed some light on this???
