New Rig Powers Up and Error Beeps

I built a new computer consisting of a Pentium 1.6A and an Abit BG7. I hooked up everything but when I turned it on, the system powers up but the screen is blank and the system just beeps. I then unhooked everything except the motherboard and CPU, same result. I'm not sure, but when I switch the PSU on, the lights on the keyboard turn on dimmed, they aren't full brightness, but I don't think they're supposed to be like that. It's a 350W L&C, it should be on 115V on the back right? Has anyone else had this problem where the keyboard lights up?

The beeps are actually a diagnostic code.
Look in your MB manual and find out what it's telling you.

All Motherboards have diagnostic codes, the beeps are there in case you don't have video to read the error message, but normally they aren't in the manual, rather they are on the website of the BIOS manufacturer. If you tell us how many beeps you are getting, I can check it out for you, otherwise, I would suspect Video, First thing I would do is make sure the card is tight and secure in the slot, if That doesn't work, I would swap it out with a known good one, I really think it is the video card, but if not something else it could be could be bad RAM, or a dead keyboard as that is also checked on boot, and if you haven't disabled halt on keyboard failure in the BIOS (which you can't get to) then it could be a problem.
