New rig - please comment

Planning of putting this together:

ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Socket 939 BOX
ASUS EN6600TD256 Ge-Force 6600 256MB DDR PCI-Express
2X KINGSTON ValueRam 512MB DDR 400MHz
SEAGATE HD 160GB Serial ATA 7200 RPM ST3160827AS
LG 16x52x Black Bulk
LG 4163 16X Double Layer Bulk
CREATIVE Sound Blaster Live 7.1 24Bits Bulk

Rig mainly for office and net. Will want to edit photo and very simple video (from ripped files).

Will it perform ok?

Motherboard and videocard overkill if you're not going to game.

Don't waste your money on a SLI board to just put a 6600 in it, just go with a regular board and get a 6800gt, it will outperform (2) 6600's from what I've heard.

I may play occasionally. Does the videocard works with SLI if I add a second one later on?

Also, will it allow to do simple video editting ? (all I want to do is get several small video files I rip from DVD and put them together, with simple transition effects and some subtitles....)
