Been a long time coming, but my new rig is up and running...and crunching WU's like a mofo!

P4C 2.8GHz on an ASUS P4P800 w/ 1024MB PC3200

My WU time is steadily going down! Glad to keep contributing!

Nice rig! 😀

/me is thinking of getting a new rig too! 😀

/me goes to wipe the drool off my chin...my chest....my belly....my.....oh well! :Q

Nice system! 🙂 Give us some WU times with Angle Range. Have you tried running two WUs at the same time? Others have said that HyperThreading allow simultaneous running of WUs with good results.

I am user #1275 for TeamAT. My messageboard handle and my username for the team are slightly different. I am analyzing my current work units to figure my average completion times. So far, the average is coming in at 2:13 per WU with the CLI version of Seti@home at normal priority, processor affinity set to both "logical processors".

Jonitus (Jon), you might want to look into SetiWatch. It is a very nice program that reports all sorts of stats. Make sure you have SetiDriver / Progress Monitoring / Create SetiLog.csv enabled. 😉

Jonitus -

Definitely run two instances of SETI at the same time on that rig. I am using almost the same setup except I have the ABit 875P board instead of the ASUS.

Thanks for the tips, gents! I now have two instances running simultaneously, and we'll see the WU's roll on in like craaaaazy!

If ET is out there, I'm gonna find him...and corrupt him!

19 WU's so far, from 6/30/03 @14:24:55 to tonight, 7/1/03 @21:22:42. Average time are coming in the range of 2hr39min to 2hr53min per WU. I have a little tweaking yet to do on this new rig, so expect the times to be further reduced. I am shutting down SETI for gaming, so once I get that done with, the thing can run 24/7 for all I care.

Happy crunching, gents!
