Okay, here's what I came up with

Antec Lanboy+350 watt PS ( Antec Smart Blue ) - 83.99

Thermaltake Silent Boost HS - 24.99

Epox 8K3ADJ mobo - 99.00

AMD 64 2800 oem - 168.00

Mushkin 512 PC 3200 - 79.00

Seagate 80 gig drive - 59.00

PNY Geforce 6800 or? - 255.25

This is a gaming rig for Doom3 and next gen games, I will add more RAM later, I wanted 1 gig, but I can wait until I recover from this expenditure. I'm wondering if the power supply will be good enough. How does it look? Open to vid card suggestions, too.

Holy sh1t. I bow to you, n00b.

Seriously; out of the hundred "new rig" threads I've seen since the news about Doom 3 dropped, your's is the first one that actually looks good. Great choice on parts; you should enjoy it immensly.

BTW, where can you find a 6800 for $255?

For your questions:

Yes, the PSU is good enough to power your components. Don't worry too much about it.

The 6800 is the card you want if you're on a budget but still want to play Doom 3 at a good framerate and high detail; stick with it.

Oops! I took the Geforce 6800 price from your post in my previous thread from Provantage - looked again and it's 285.00 at another place. Well, add 29.75. I'm glad it looks pretty good for something on the " budget" side. Guess I'll go ahead and start ordering stuff, then. I spent a lot of time on the 'net reading forums and reviews wherever I could find them. Also posted here and that helped a lot. I found your post got me going in the right direction, very helpful.
