well like two weeks ago i bought an alienware computer. it messed up several times (hard drive went bad the day after i bought it, got the comp back and it wouldnt turn on) and my mom got so mad we got our money back. now i have no idea where to go to get a good rig. i know a good amount about computers, but i dont really know too much about putting a good one together, and i also want to have some kinda of tech support i could fall back on in case something goes wrong that i cant explain.

besides alienware, i checked falcon northwest, voodoopc.com, and geekgeek.com, and all of those places had high prices for the same components that i got with the alienware rig.

this comes to my point, i was wondering if anyone knew a company like alienware that makes gaming rigs. i have exactly $3000 to spend on whatever. if you cant do that, then it would also help if you gave me a few pointers on whats good to get. thanks!
 
Buy a "physical" copy of the Computer Shopper magazine for ~ $4. It's definitely not what it used to be (much thinner, less reviews) but it still has great ads 🙂 The last one I read had at least 5 companies that made "gamers's" computers like Alienware.

P.S. I wouldn't blame Alienware for the defects. The very fact that you got your money back shows that the company is all about satisfying the customers. Also, they have perfectly matched colored systems, and use the best hardware (I looked inside 🙂)
