any comments?
any compatability issues with 1 sata drive and the mobo?

im so happy I got my parts today ^^ can't wait to start building it

i got my x800xl off newegg.com

i got it as a oem bulk package.

it was at 358$ when i got it and now it went up to 384~ i believe

when u search for x800xl's on newegg i typed in x800 xl (with a space)

and it came up with 3 items and that is how i got it ^^

Nice rig. Any pics? Also, is this your first build? Is the motherboard (DFI NF4) hard to setup? People have told me that the DFI boards are for the more experienced, so I wanted to know if it would be difficualt for me(1st time builder) to set up.

omg, i just checked those are hilariously overpriced
The price just keep going up for them

The cheapest one goes for 370$ which is 70$ overpriced.

Larry, how much RAM did you buy? 512MB or 1GB? Did you like the case?
I got the Raidmax scrorpio, it comes with 6 fans which is awsome and I like it so far.
I hear the DFI NF4U is a great mobo, so have fun with it!
Your system looks very good, but how much did you pay for it?
By the way, the PSU that comes with your case doesn't support PCI express mobos (24-pin) so I suggest either buying a 24-pin converter or a new PSU (I recommend this since you got a killer videocard and an A64 CPU).

Drop the Lite-On combo drive, get a NEC 3520A. Drop the weak case and load of 80mms, get a case w/ 120mm front and back.

yes, this is my first build and yes I do like the case it only costed me 28$ 😀

it is decently sturdy and has many slots for cooling- I think I will be staying with the case

Also my case did not come with a psu, That is why i got the fortron Blue storm.

The dfi is like any board setting up, the more experience must pertain for overcloking users that have more experience in bios and tweaking? after all it is what dfi is famous for.

thanks for the comments, also ill see the nec 3520a and ill think about it 😀

I have that lite-on combo drive and am very pleased with it. My last burner was 16x so this is definitely an upgrade. Nice rig though. 🙂
