Wow I finally bothered to register ^_^. Long time lurker, not much of a poster, etc etc.
Annyyway... I have been out of the comp scene for a couple of years and have only started to get back in to things recently. Due to spending a majority of recent time sitting at work, I figure I might as well make the small amounts of time I sit at home become more enjoyable, so what better to spend those hard earned monies on than a new comp?
My budget is reasonable. I don't mind spending a bit for something that I can appreciate for a while. As this is a relaxation machine it will be used mostly for games and also function partly as a media centre.
Below is the list of the components that I am currently hovering around and pretty determined to sink my claws in to but I figure it's worth asking whether or not I'm making any stupid decisions before making the plunge.
A few things to note:
a) I live in Australia. There are a few components I would prefer over the ones below but availability via certain manufacturers is definately a limiting factor. Don't let this stop any suggestions, but I figure it's worth mentioning regardless. I will be looking mostly to purchase from nearby retailers with a couple of specific parts potentially ordered from trusted retailers elsewhere in the country. Importing from overseas is not an option.
b) While willing to spend a fair bit, my budget does have a limit.
c) The monitor is not questionable; barring a very convincing argument
